"Lake Superior doesn’t ever give up her dead," the seamen say that’s what the old legends said. The Edmund Fitzgerald was a large freight ship, and in November of 1975 she made her last trip. She cleared Superior Wisconsin Nov. 9, 1975, whole crew went down with her, no one survived. Capt. McSorely called in, said “taking on water,” worst storm he'd seen and would be his slaughter. November is referred to as the "month of storms" on these Great Lake’s, can take on many forms. Ships in the area knew the Fitzgerald went down, so deadly the storm, they too feared they'd drown. All 29 officers and crew went down that fateful day, Lake Superior just proved what the old legends say. Edmund Fitzgerald lies broken, lying in two sections, in her deep dark watery grave, still lie our recollections.
