Somebody said that history repeats itself. It seems to me that man can, if he will, look at the past and improve his lot and thus the lot of the rest of us. Some of us never learn. This poem should be sent to the government with a demand MUST READ!!!
You are quite insightful and a great poet.

An interesting dream indeed:

I saw two movie versions of King Solomon's Mines with Alan Quartermain played by Stewart Granger in the 1950 movie, and Richard Chamberlain in the 1985 movie - I liked them both.

Oh yeah, there is definitely a price to pay. Many a man digging for gold during the Gold Rush," here and in Alaska had their brains splattered from to yon by men who then plundered their claim. Many other examples concerning greed and the devaluation of human life. Happening as we speak.
