Poem Artwork

photographic memory

of the hands, the nocturnal orbit
made lens. of the skin, the thirst
the silk, captured against the light.

you portray me and undress us
click the shutter as we open
the moment fluidly in space and pour it
inverted, further than the retina.

overflowing nuclei of images
that interpenetrate one another
avidly, within the contours of one
- perfect, unique – sidereal body.

morning, secret, reveals itself
in the memory developing
between sigh and sky.

photographed nude.

I looked at the art for a few moments before reading the poem, and thought a head on a pillow, hair hanging loose?
then read the poem
lovely
gently passionate, yet cerebral
bravo

Alexandra,

This is the Art of making love.

"One portrait can never truly capture the essence of the whole."
©2005 Joseph* ~ OneLight*®

A never-ending sea, full of treasures yet to be found
"between sigh and sky".

"I could sail like this forever".

With affectionate admiration and gratitude for the joy you bring to my life ...

"Sidereal." Yes. There is so much involved inside this little poem that I don't know where to begin. So I shan't. The metaphors are so dramatic and unique. Alexandra, I am always amazed at your depth. Truly amazed.

Very interesting parallel between the corporeal and the visual.

"Further than the retina" bespeaks a connection between the photographer and subject that transcends the mundane.

Very liquid feeling from this construct, a flowing of senses and love interwoven into an expression of appreciation and admiration and respect.

Very pleasing!

The cobination of art and your own sensuality seem to flow from this write as you combine passion of the night with the afterglow of morning. Well done I really enjoyed this one.
