Space(ments)
One day, I left;
with the indifference of all inhabited absences;
with the echoes of floorboards bare of steps;
with the unobserved nearness of a suspension.
But I continued;
with the deafness of the quiet after the storm;
with the oblivious certainty of unspecified vestiges;
with the invisibility of numbered scrutinies.
Then, I returned;
with the disconnection of all accidental presences;
with the subtlety of the resurrected deemed dead;
and with no goodbye, to begin with.
