"The Merchant of Venice", Shakespeare

Poem Artwork

Moth drawn to flame...irrestible, so dangerous.
Flight to light...disappearing into that beautiful
consuming fire, beckoning...lending to downfall.

Oh, candle blow out...transform the moth.
fly as doves...Wake the dawn with a winged
heart...essence divinity.

Accepting nothing less than a mate, mind
unburdened, soul free...assisting the heat
of the flame, warm  bodies  colliding with
love...an abundance  of  fireworks within.
Glowing  embers...fuel  and feed  that
eternal  flame  for life.

Vivian, This is really good, the theme isn't new but you have a new slant, "flight to light", Neat alliteration. The bodies colliding captures passion and happenstance simultaneously. The fireworks reference speaks for itself. Good work

A simple moth. Consumed by fire, transformed into a white-hot embracing with the candle united. You have a gift for making mundane things come to life.
