Oh...lava lamp, so mesmerizing...a float with solar flares. spectrum engaging Shakespearian dramas...atlas to world wide journeys... unfamiliar places...beyond games to play... love ever so peaceful to the extent of one's mind to grasp Forever changing shapes to form visions... not one like another, swirling our minds with kaleidoscope turns of crystal solidified gems in three-dimensional soothing chimera...a fanciful plan in transitive transition to transgression for meaningful adventures ~A decoration for declartions of the mind~ (c) Decor for the Mind 10November2010 Vivian L. Lava lamps are making something of a comeback so this very descriptive piece is very timely. You have captured the attraction of the lamp very well and your phrase "soothing chimera" is masterful.

I really liked this, and of course the last line said it all. Lava lamps, akin to the great bard Shakespeare. Oh there are so many lines, "three-dimensional soothing chimera" is just one. Good.
