When we met
It was in a 60's fetish
had the old folks all skidish
and the embassy in Peru argueing
What the politicians were allow to do
ON TV
No one spoke of what was longer than was wide
We were called mixed up
as we mixed everything up
Our genes
our names
our countries
Thinking all individual rights and broadenings
had a definition same as meant
If there were no lock and key
a skull and cross bones
God
man
and mother nature
And the sun looked right to always shine
day or night
with the light of our eyes
the Queen
and Ace of Hearts

One's perception of a thing or anything is from the angle in which he/she stands; and the light and the sound might travel in the same speed and manner, but the reception ability of the person(s) differs from one to another.
Sometimes, due to one person's inability to receive light and sound in the same manner as all others, hence the state of the confusing mind, and yes optical illusions could happen in matters of a delayed reception of light and sound; hence the confused state of mind.
