I took my song along to see the  doctor
 

 A supposed  expert sniffer and peddler 

        of human cages, rages , and exclamatory sages

       And hardly had we gotten started

Afore he questioned:

    "What's the meaning of this meaning"

To either his suggestion or my regression:

      I proposed a study of meaning

And started with

        "this"

              according to Websters

     means opposed to 'that' 

        or two or more persons, places, or things

Which might refer to both ourselves

     this, instead of that, day or year

but

        when it referred to anybody else

    And asked him how in the hell did he expect to have a theory

about people under those conditions.

To which he replied, already disparaged against using "this or that" 

   "Our Peters and Marys one day had started gone flat"

 "And so everyones views had deliberately been both expanded

       To me and you"

and reduced simultaneously

       to mean everyone 

          including both of us

             equals more than one and greater than or equal to two" 

and exactly what Websters meant for  'this or that'

     had been disparaged in beginning discussion

with the expert  of big, small

       or nothing at all 

    I seemed he meant could be grown by ones own hand to whatever

density fit ones  circumstanced meaning 

    to mean of it's size

        conceptually wise
where the first thoughts began  

       to grow flat
