Chatuse and Arbusitus
had on order
gone out to eat
for their dinner
instead sing a song
for the old spinsters' money
a lady they knew paid for the pave
on the street
where they lived
when they had sung to her
Whose turning had
been more twisted
than the rolls on the table
Or her life either
and made up the rest to
ruin their digestion
For what ever reason
was what ever
She hadn't felt thanked enough
for the cemment
she gave
paved the way for their
travels.
Your roll sir?
"Twisted please"
As the waiter looked at him strangely
I said twisted
getting a little pissed at the
twisted angles on the face of the
table
if not on the waiter
And your wife?
"A scrambled egg"
though she paid for the dinner
"On the side"
"Do you prefer sour onion?"
"or would you rather it pickled?
"before you leave I'll put the bill on the table"
And all in one breath
I scrambled up the twists on
the face of the waiter
and left him my wife as the fee
and tip
"paid in full"
for the meal
and
Asked my dear old lady spinster
and loved friend
for the bail from arrest
And she gave me "sweetheart"
my digestion relieved
thankful for her genereous philanthropy
A paved road from the jail
