An airfoil ride across the straights
busy Ceuta our port of call.
Venturing south we stop enroute
to ride again on camels backs.
Then on in to Tetouan
a grand ornate doored plaza mosque.
Down alleys to a tanning shop
where thickened stench wretches ladies.
We shop along crowded back streets
for perfumes, bottles, rugs, antiques.
Returning north a roadside stand
with trilobites and and nautiloids.
Then some leisure at M'dig beach
a last return to Ceuta port.
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
