taken gone alone
boys grow to men
three to war
two beat
He wed before he left
then the dear john came
stayed on to die
but survived
beat up
Returned exeverything
without inner peace
friends not solid
loves fleeting
beat down
Aging long working hard
trying to live right
loving losing
lost it all
beaten

How terribly heartbreaking..We write of many things, as writers. We leave our readers wondering about each bit of imagery that we paint. This is realistically written and sadly felt by me. You can draw your readers in easily....

The story of the Vietnam vet. Very well written. Strikes home to this writer who avoided the whole issue by becoming 1Y and a non-entity all at the same time.
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
This collection of poetry addresses the nature of time, reflections on the natural world, the difficulty of loss,
contemporary social issues and gratitude for life.
