Poem Artwork

She creeps in on cats paws
slowly and silently.
Blanketing everything
in mournful frigid weep.
Chilling every fiber
shrouding vision complete.

Settles in like slumber
the air thick damp and cold.
Dreamlike lurking danger
at any turn, movement.
Inching ever sluglike
dreary tears in her wake.

Spectral dissipation
vaporizing in place.
Silent breathless yet gone
leaving only wetness.
An unwanted presence
a departure not grieved.

Oh but the fog can be so romantic! Albeit a danger to drive in and an annoyance to those who "must" venture out in it. It has a mysticism about it.

Ah but such a lovely vision the way you write it. Sort of a prelude to an action thriller of what will be lurking in it.

I can only say "awesome" :)

Your poem evokes a certain sadness, a kind of depression, that comes with the fog. It may be an ancient dread from a time when creatures could attack from out of the fog without being seen. Cool, dreadful, write.

Great visuals...The fog can be quite ominous for sure.
The other morning I was at the beach with my grandson, and the fog was thick on the water is was like a big wall that you couldn't see anything through, but when it broke, it was mesmerizing to watch.

Lovely poetry,
Peace, love and light,
Amber

Budd,
I'll never see fog quite the same way again. Beautiful and graphic. I could feel the fog around me.

Blessings,
~Linda

Beautifully rendered. Graphic, yet with a subtle lexicon. Essence realized. Well done.

Impressive visuals here. I can actually feel the moist unwanted presence and see it creeping "slug-like" over barely visible shapes.
Great penmanship.

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
