when i do not say all that i should to whom i should

Poem Artwork

Tis so remiss of late I have been
and words not writ are such a sin
of she that gives my world won'drous spin
Emmy, Selina and Elk Woman.

All are but just an embodiment
of the Green Eyed One that's heaven sent
whom of missing i so much lament
and who's loves my only contentment.

But the drudgery of earning bread
and turmoil of healing past lies lived
clouding o'er skies of sunshine ahead
thus remiss i am when words seem dead.

Words are never dead Budd.
There comes a day that you will look back and say: hè, I'm standing in the sunshine again and I've left behind everything I've struggled with.

Time ripens all things, heals all things, renews all things

Still, Budd, we show our affection with what we do for the people we love.

You sound like you are down. This too shall pass. This poem though sad is probably more theraputic than you think. Chin up, oh, poet!

Love ya!

I identify with your last stanza big time, Budd. Unfortunately we gwert so busy trying to make a living that we fail to make a life....those we love suffer abnd are sometimes neglected.

Budd, this is such a good poem...as I read your words I could hear a violin, guitar and mandolin softly playing in the background.

You are a real poet who is far from dead but has much to live for and write about. The poem speaks volumes and is a wonderful poem that many can relate too.

These words are not dead...
They are most explicit in meaning...
Days drudgery and pain can and will deter us from wishing
to express ourselves in how we wish when we must face the
burdensome task in living the way we do not wish to live ...

It will come in time my friend...

You've penned an impactful piece of lyrical sadness here, laden with regret that is so identifiable for many of us. Beautifully executed.
