Ebony shadows and the gray of night
haveth never they my enemies been. From my youth in rolling poverty hills
to battlefields of the hinder and yon. Mine eyes rare and accustomed to the dark
where i hunted and then was he the prey. However the darkness on a man's soul
be much more dreadful than absence of light. So of deeds done in wrongful decision
escape is naught in the shadows of night.
The youth of the past is something yet to be captured - but it will only replenish strength and in return will diminish wisdom.
It is the nature of all things that as experience grows, the vessel becomes fatigued.

Ah, regret!
Regret can be your worst enemy or your best friend.
You have the "Power to choose".
I've been ruminating on the duality of the.."I hunted
and then was he the prey"...and,..."wrongful decision,
escape is naught in the shadows of night"..
The proverbial table was turned; the hunter had become
the hunted, isn't new concept, and one doesn't need to go
to the war to experience it.
Regular, every days trip to workplace, interpersonal
relationship, TV news, politics, East-West (and all other
directions) issues, provide enough of battlefields exposure,
and opportunity of getting hurt.
Emotional hurt seriously alter human brain chemistry.
Brain runs on neurotransmitters. Some of them give
us energy (adrenalin), some control body movement (dopamine),
and some control mood (serotonin).
When serotonin drops (prolonged stress), our brain turns
against us, will reach into our memory, pull out every bad
memory it can find ("the worse the better"),and makes us being
tortured by our own thoughts (especially at 3 am, "in the
shadows of night").
