Poem Artwork

As i sit here so fraught
my head in these cold hands.
I fear for those apart
in this tundra like land.
Only my lovers heart
doest keep me warm and grand.

Chione, i implore
daughter of Boreas.
Snow more, no more snow more
tell the North Wind to cease.
Let Sol warm evermore
and the frigid decrease.

The words in this poem works great for me,I am from Newfoundland and am use to all this snow. But I am now looking forward to the spring. I also like the ice man certainly goes with the your poem. You must have been at the winter fest and became inspired by this fellow. lol

Wow you east coasters are really getting knocked about... wishing you winters end sooner than later.

presentlly visiting north Georgia
I am caught in the clutches of a deep freeze
and lingering ice hoping to be heading south soon
back to pinacoladas and swinging hammock
while thinking of where I've been
peace be with you

I enjoyed reading your poem. That's exactly what we got, more snow, two feet to be exact, and more to come on Tuesday. Stay warm, Love, Emile

That little snow bird sitting next to you looks lonely...but cool!
A very well expressed sentiment.

The deep freeze we have been experiencing causes the siding on the houses around here to make popping sounds throughout the night. I'll be glad when it warms up enough so it doesn't sound like someone is knocking on all sides of the houses!

Love ya!

Your poem reverberates throughout the land, Budd...we're going to get that fierce storm that's battering the USA...and it's not gonna be pretty...nicely done!

In Florida we are experiencing winter now. See the gentle rain that looks like snow that does not birth. The mighty sun melts it before it hits planet earth. See the temperature drop to less than 50 degrees. Why people here are actually wearing pants below their knees! See the sea and sand shimmer and take on a cooler new glow. Hey, I think I kind of like it at fifty below. But in South Florida we have don't know what it's like to drive on snow and ice. That is why this time of year we "Thank God for this piece of Paradise. In India, In mumbai where I live the weather is just excellent now. The climate is moderate throughout the year, Even when it is hot and warm, the winds are cold and most times when you go and sit on the sands on the beach it is like sitting in front of a big desert cooler, with the cool wind from the sea hitting on to your face. The poor migrants to cities even sleep on the roadsides and open spaces. Could this be one of the reasons we have such large population in general in comparison!!

All town budgets for snow removal have been exhausted. Good, maybe it won't snow anymore. I'm sure I won't run out of oil for my heater, not at the price they are charging these cold days.
The thinker has a girlfriend, but with both frozen it is of little use.

A metaphoric plea for this reader. But, the frigid disregard for a peaceful planet just doesn't seem to be in the cards. After all, China is not going to stop altering climate conditions until they match us in disregard for Nature. May doG watch over us.
