How joyful are the simple things. They give more happiness than pearls and diamonds.
The Sea/Beach glass...product of Nature...yet...comes
from man made glass.
Taking walk along my favorite beach, I often find
myself wandering...what kind of jewelry, Artists
living by the Sea, would have made from this beautiful
products...glass, periwinkles, pretty stones...that's
available free.....beautiful......inspiring talents...
and I'm happy to know that your Artists/Granddaughters
found the answer.....
You poem, Jane shows the free spirit, that I admire,
serves as an inspiration and strive with the same
energy as are the products...from Nature that made
the Sea Glass.................An Heirloom.

A truly enjoyable avocation. One that blends nature with commerce of a different kind. Harkins back to Native Americans making things from nature and trading them with other tribes for goods.
That's not (in the picture) a beach, its a rock pile...we have near me, in Cape May NJ a stone called a Cape May diamond, can be shined & polished just like the real thing but they are not worth the same nor do many collect them...If I ever get down there anytime this summer, I will search for some for your granddaughters to use in their macramé...e
