"So sad to see good love go bad."....Everly Bros.

Poem Artwork

Although you were no good for me
You often broke my heart
There were the times we had such fun
Too bad we had to part

To you I gave until the end
To you I bared my soul
For you I would have gave my life
'Twas you that made me whole

The curtain dropped lights faded down
Found I was oh so wrong
I was the fool much wiser now
E'en though it took so long

A lot of people have "been there," Jane. At least, it seems that you learned from it. By the way, that is a great photo of you in your bio. Love and all the best,

Regis

How does it feel to be a wise fool? Inquisitive folks just have to know.

Some of us are slow to learn. I've always tried not to fall in that trap.

There is nothing "foolish" (or wrong for that matter) in giving. It has its own blessing and form of self-enrichment. So, yes, perhaps "the curtain dropped" and alas "the light faded down" as you sadly put it, but oh, you were not so wrong. You are "the wiser now" but not because you were a fool. John

Hopefully the hurts are not as hurtful now. Still, I understand that some of them will never go away. Wishing you happiness from here on out!
