My daughter got hooked on crack a few years back. Her addiction was so so strong, that she signed off on her own kids. (the oldest was only a toddler at the time) It didn't matter what we said or did, she continued down her path of destruction, until she hit rock bottom. Even after starting recovery, she had several setbacks. I am pleased to say she is clean and doing quite well now, and I hope the best for you and your family.

You are torn in both directions. Caring for your mother and caring about your daughter. Let us hope the tension from both of these eases soon. If poetry helps, write your heart out.
