Not yet are we traveling, just wishful thinking on my part, but still alot of memories herein...ed

Poem Artwork

Traipsin’…

Its traipsin’ we go across country,

Schlepping our way on back roads in the country,

Passing up the interstate and the intrastate,

No high-speed highways for us,

The bumps we hit knock off the rust…

No cars do get past our semi-modern wagon train,

We forgo air travel; don’t like do we a plane,

No stress do we have, nor limits on time, no strain,

Stop when we please, at the insane and mundane,

Or find something quite good; there we are then entertained…

Already been, have we, to the great states of Maine,

Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, Kentucky, and so far no complaints,

Up and down, north and south on the east coast of America, none did rain,

This traveling the only problem therein yes the main,

Is the ability to maintain our sanity, yes not going insane,

Our love for each other the reason we been able to sustain…

She can’t read a map, can’t drive the motorhome, but she CAN sleep,

Wish it were me; sleeping while traveling,

Instead I have to be the one to drive, absolutely unraveling…

Hehehe... I prefer to drive myself...my husband is so use to his old piece of scrap...the stearingwheel...slides halfway from one side to the otherside before the actual wheels react to the motion......and when he gets into my car he wants to do the same and go zig-zag on the road......Oh my heart just pops up in my throat..and a fight starts...then I tell him to GET OUT I WILL DO THE JOB THERE ARE EASIER WAYS TO KILL ME...now I rather fly...and he stay at home with his bottlefriends!!

Love your train looks COOL...Dollied Up to hit tha road....could just be fun fun fun...hey so by the way tha BUG Julie did read your previous poem.....so you better come pick me up and take me with you on that train or I gonna split the word to SPLAT and Bugs...and the "MmmmBombardereds" will be tooooooo happy to co-opporate....with their stinky bombs....okay.....lol!!

Don't forget to take Rufus! Excellent write, my friend. I had to take my sweet dog Blackie to get his booster shots today. :( He didn't like that! Keep them coming!
