I love Old buildings…

I do surely love buildings of old,

Especially those may have been bold,

Unfortunately many are being sold,

To developers so they can rake in the gold…

So few now remain,

Of old buildings and homes, it’s insane,

To destroy our heritage, better to refrain,

From plowing under sometimes whole towns, it’s positively inane…

Old buildings have charm,

The do no harm,

They can be refurbished,

If they can do so with a farm,

An old building does not have to look like a barn…
