Poem Artwork

North to South…

The NJ Turnpike does run north to south,

Many a driver there with more than a big mouth,

Screaming at others seems the thing to do,

Not to forget the middle finger in the air,

The official NJ wave it is, sometimes unfair…

New Jersey may be crowded,

It may have fog and pollution over it shrouded,

But I can honestly say, having lived here all my life,

I have avoided a great deal of stress here and strife…

Just enjoy the drives I do take through the state,

Sometimes I have done so with my mate,

Rufuz does love the beach as long as I open the gate,

The fishing here is really great, as long as you have the right bait…

The Atlantic City Expressway does run east towards gold,

Or supposedly what with the casino’s, I have been that told,

Philadelphia to the west, and Atlantic city at the shore,

Two dollars and fifty cents will get you there for sure…

East to West…

Well the finger in the air is not limited to New Jersey drivers. But I hope you have a good time.
