And to all the lost children...

To Mark Himebaugh…(missing but not forgotten)


 


His family wants to know he is living,


They would be for him most forgiving,


What he was abducted for matters not,


All they wish to do is end his pain,


And finding out for sure he was not slain…


 


Left his family at about eleven,


They do hope he did not go to heaven,


They do wish he is still on this earth,


He to them more than a million is worth…


 


By now he would be older,


In his twenties and we hope bolder,


If he is out there, and becomes of this poem a beholder,


His family is still there for him, never would he get the cold shoulder…


 


Mark, if you do remember who you are,


No matter where you live now or how far,


Please do get in touch with your family,


Your disappearance was quite bizarre,


If you were to return no longer would there be in the family a scar…

The lost children rip at my heart and soul, Ed. I wonder how many children who are abducted are tortured or so harmed that they are unable to recall who they truly are. At eleven, I would hope that he would have some recall, but the babies, one has to wonder if they even know that they were someone elses child. It is all so very sad.
