I still feel the violation of my car being taken away. Still walking in the cold because some idot needed a joy ride. I'll be getting a new one this spring. Saving I am :-) Still now I know I will have a car again, but like when I lost my son, I now know it can happen to me, and it changes your life. Great write.
I agree wholeheartedly with Ed K, thank goodness "she" wasn't in it at the time. Sad to see violence darken yet another doorway. My thoughts are with y'all.
This truly was a vile violation, but thank God it wasn't worse, and she was in that Wrangler at the time.

When I had all my possesions stolen. Many priceless to me, nothing to them. I got over it realising I have the priceless in my heart, the other I can just nip to the shops and get a new TV, comp, hi fi, furnature, etc.. I learnt never to let things own me, or waste time or energy on meaningless inanimate objects..
This one I can relate to Ed. When someone breaks into one of our posessions house car etc no matter how small the theft, it feels like rape! that's what rape is taking something that doesn't belong to you violating anothers private posessions.Excellent write on the topic!Sorry it had to happen to her.
When my company car was broken into and some of the tools needed to open cars were stolen violated didn't cut it! But yes I know how she feels...
