We have with immigrants grown strong,

In the past it seems our mix could do no wrong,

We flew one flag, that of ours for freedom,

One National Anthem as well our song…

Of late illegal immigrants have protested for rights,

Since when do folks without citizenship reach for these heights,

I am all for them gaining their rights legally,

But to protest for their cause, as non-citizens, they have no right…

Let them go through the same system others do,

Make the sacrifices, get their green cards, allow them to accrue,

Also please learn the language of this your new mother country,

Instead of taking jobs and spending the money on a tattoo…
