I remember when Cajun my cat was scared of the fireworks. She'd hear them every July Fourth, and she'd get this panicked little look on her sweet pussy cat face! She'd then dive under the couch or the bed, anything to get away from the noise, the poor dear! LOL No, animals and fireworks do NOT mix! Good write here, and hopeo y'all had a good one! I did; I finally got to see some fireworks, and I really enjoyed them!

Hope Rufuz is not scared of the fireworks! We are not too much for it either, but we do like children's faces when they watch them.

I like fireworks, but for those in London who endured the Blitzcrieg or in Baghdad watched the two Bushes' display, too many fell in those fireworks to play.

Thank you for your fairness, Ed. I love the fireworks, though I have had a few pets in the past who would share your dislike for the boom-boom of it all. Happy 4th of July to you...I am sure you can find a way to celebrate...this holiday does support the eating of hotdogs, hamburgers and the drinking of beer, so I bet you will find something about this day that appeals to you. Love the oooohss and auhssssss and the pops and bams!! The next morning my next gives me a headache and I feel that I was in a war. It's all part of the way I choose to celebrate my freedom and independence. It's a day that remins me why we fight the media so much when they plagerize one another and why we still stand tall and free regardless of what we read..

Well, I lurrrrrrrrrrrrrve fireworks, coz it's fun to make all the silly noises, like ooooh, aaaaah,awwwwwww, wooohoooo, but yes, Duchess hates them, and so does Leila.
But I respect your'e right to be annoyed by them, different horses and all that...:):)

Oh I sometimes go to the park and watch the city fireworks, that is if their budget for the year allows for good ones, but generally people are so d*** irresponsible with them it's royal pain. Have to keep an eye out for strays as I have a shake roof(!)that's pretty old. Scares the poor cats and dogs to death. And then there are the neighbors who pop them until 3 in the morning. The older I get the more I like peace & quiet, so do appreciate this write. With that said, I do wish you, your lady and buddy Rufuz a lovely holiday...

Rufuz your old fuddy duddy dad is a wimp, go watch the fireworks without him. I'd take you if I were there, I like to see them paint the sky. I watch from my porch and see them in 3 different locations. Really beautiful...happy fourth;-)
