The grim reaper came this morning calling,

Across the street medics & squad,

But he did not here fill his quota,

He did not get his mark…

Ambulance did arrive on scene,

Lights with siren sounding so mean,

Waking up the populace of our small community,

Everyone watching, hoping for the best,

From behind a door of screen…

An hour outside,

For a short fifteen minute ride,

All the lights and activity over,

Better to make happy my rover,

Now I can return to my blissful slumber,

Thanking the gods this time it wasn’t me,

The old reaper did not this time pick my number…

I know that feeling all too well. Usually it was me being picked up, but I'm still here and one of these times it will be me, you or whomever. but life goes on in another phase so try not to be too fearful;-)

He didn't pick your number, but unfortunately he had picked another.

I've just learned that the Crocodile Hunter, Steven Irwin, had died. He was stung by a Stingray while in a diving endeavour. I've often thought he was going to die by eaten alive by a crocodile, but stung by a stingray was to last thing in my mind that he would have died of.

What a strange incidence!!!

It is always scary for me when the ambulance comes in the night with sirens blaring. I watch patiently to see if the person they are picking up is moving and then I pray for the best for them. I am glad that they weren't coming for you, Ed, you dodged the bullet one more time. ;)
Take care,
Sherry
