Poem Artwork

Here I sit in my motorhome,

Will this be where I die, never again to roam,

Its far too depressing to think of much,

But some day’s it just comes to me & such…

Oh to again live in a house,

To share it with Rufuz & if necessary a mouse,

To be warm all the time, no worries, nothing to about grouse,

Won’t ever again feel my home rock from a high wind gust,

Every time I see an especially nice looking place I lust…

To live again near the shore,

Or in the mountains, no bore,

Or on a plain, certainly no chore,

To be inside a home, to remember days of yore…

Somtimes we all wish for another place or way of life.
However, for the most part if we're honest, we are where
we chose to be. You'd be surprised at how many would love
to have what you have.;-)

You make me feel very, very fortunate, Ed...to be living where I am...my "dream," in the forest, in a home surrounded by critters and
garden and trees.
I wish you YOUR dreams coming true.

I hope you get what you want, Brother, but Sherry is right:

Just think...you too could have to mow the lawn and pull the weeds and do the gardening and landscaping, scrub and seal the deck every year, put a new roof on your home, fix the plumbing, scrub the floors, repair the washing machine, and the toilets, and the furnace, and paint all the windows and rooms every few years, and don't forget - all the snow shoveling.

Wanna trade for a few months??

and....why is it that you can't.? I like a little more solid ground myself. Glad I'm home but's it's too big.

it's always greener on the other side of the fence ... living in a motor home sounds nice to me ...

We always want what we don't have; living in a motorhome and traveling is my idea of paradise, and yes, I have done it and it was the most fun I have ever had. Perhaps I am just a gypsy at heart, but I loved having no one and nothing to tie me down. It was freeing not to have all my "Stuff" anymore and just have what I needed. But if owning a home is what you wish for, I hope that you are able to get one. Just think...you too could have to mow the lawn every weekend and pull weeds and do the gardening and landscaping, scrub and seal the deck every year, put a new roof on your home, fix the plumbing, scrub the floors, repair the washing machine etc.,etc.,etc... ;)
Take care,
Sherry
