Got me seeing RED...

Poem Artwork

Inside my house somebody did come,

A bottle of coins I did save, only just some,

I think I know the culprit, thought of him as a chum,

Instead I come to find out he is nothing more than a thieving bum…

I usually don’t lock my door,

Rufuz there to protect, not allowing anyone to explore,

I am in shock that my measly money was taken from the drawer,

I can live without the money, but this is behavior that I just deplore…!

I cannot prove who took it for sure,

I just have this feeling, as usually he is cash poor,

So now I must, much to my dismay, lock my door,

But I refuse to lose from my meager belongings, anymore…!

Violation station. Your first instinct is probably right.

I know it is a hard thing to come to terms with when a friend does this. Most times we would have given them the money if they asked so lock your doors and make a little sign "all savings already been stolen from this room" that might make someone feel bad enough to put it back. Lady

Ed, i've been there and know firsthand your rage. I hope you're able to recoup your loss.

Georg was right. Rufuz knows the culprit and was probably wagging his tail for a rub when the rascal purloined the coins...hate to hear this bud..

I know the feeling, Ed. Read my poem "Breakin" if you haven't already. It's the violation that got to me and, although it's been almost two years now, it's just not the same anymore. Take care, bro. Love and best wishes,

Regis

So sorry, Ed, that this had to happen to you. It is more than just the coins...the loss is really trust...isn't it?
I came home (a few years ago) to find my house ransacked, drawers emptied all over the floor, and an expensive stereo missing. Fortunately, I had no cash laying around. But it is true when people whose homes have been broken into call it a "personal" violation . It is indeed, intensely personal.

(((HUGS))) and I'm sorry, Ed: did you call the police?

Love, Karla.

Good thing you and Rufuz weren't hurt, or more taken.

I hear you on this one, it is too bad that we have to lock our doors, I can remember when life was so much easier and people were so much more trusting and kind. Be well, Holly

You didn't lost only a few coins, them taken and left the worst change, suspicion.
Even one can't affort it, one will loan or give away the few coins left to someone yo call your friend which are in a tighter spot than you are. My friend, it cost you almost nothing to learn where the hand with the dagger belongs to, now, for heavens sake, don't turn your back when the so-called "friend" is around.
Rufuz knows him too, otherwise he would had made a racked.
It is very sad when one most "lock" the door.
Georg

I'm very sorry to hear this, Bro, and I think we all have to sadly lock all our doors these days. At least whoever it was didn't hurt Rufie Boy.
