Early this morning I was oh so sick,
I’ve never puked & pooped so much,
I honestly felt death at my door,
I’m glad I locked it with a little click…
I begged God to stop my projectile up throw,
And if he would just do that for me,
I would promise to try & know him better,
Well a promise is a promise, so try I will in Christ to grow…
I’ve been really quite bad, though I have changed,
I really cannot see that He would forgive me my faults,
He & I have for the longest time be estranged,
All through my life away from him I have ranged…
So, it won’t be easy, for Him or for me,
But closer to Him I will try to ultimately be,
I may not attend any specific church,
And it may take me quite awhile,
But I did make this promise,
And I will resolutely walk with Him in my heart many a future mile…

:) See? God does answer prayer. I'm sorry you were so sick, but glad you're feeling a bit better. God doesn't ask for perfection; as humans, we fail, miserably. All we can do is ask His forgiveness and try again. God does allow U-turns. :) Well done!!
