Will ever I see…?

Poem Artwork

The vastness of this country I call home,

Over the Rockies & Tetons will I ever roam,

The wide expanse of Pacific beaches,

The western deserts & places now beyond our reaches…

The prairies where roam the buffalo & bison,

The great northwest where the grizzly call home,

A moose in the far northeast, or elsewhere a caribou,

The sky over Alaska with a show of northern lights,

Will I ever fish in a stream direct from the glaciers…

My national view has been so far quite limited,

To see the coastlines of the west with visions of whales,

Just once before I die I’d like to clean pacific salmon scales,

Maybe ride a horse across some part of the great plains,

To experience on a boat northwestern rains…

Two extensive trips I have done, one from San Francisco to Chicago on Route 66 riding a Harley (three wonderful weeks)
The other, from Quebec to Vancouver by car (two weeks)
Many people has never travel their country and that's very sad.

Yes it is sad that with all our techno advances in the years in transportation that very few of us can get to see and explore our own countries. I live in Canada and thought that when I retired that would be one of my dreams I could complete...see the country. Alas though with the puny pensions and cost of living I cannot even afford most months to see my own neighhorhood

By the grace of God, I've managed to travel extensively throughout North America, and it truly is a wondrous world out there, Bro. If I ever win the Lottery, I'm taking my two brothers on a trip back to the Alaskan glaciers (before they melt away, hopefully.)

I would love to see Alaska, too, Ed, but with my income the way it is ... seems rather unlikely. *sigh* But I keep hoping and praying. A beautiful write, keep dreaming and maybe I'll see you there!!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

I wish you could have been there during our Alaskan cruise, Ed. But as long as you remain positive, you never know how many wonderful blessings God will dump on you. Just ask me--I'll tell you how fabulous God can be. You just have to go with the flow, pray, pray, and pray, and let him dump blessings all over you in His time, not yours.

With love, Scott

Dear Ed:

Perhaps when you've done all the things that you have mentioned above, you will realize that there are some goodness and wonders in this world that you would want to stay and linger for a long time.

Rufuz wants his Daddy by his side!!
