The hell with a gas eating motorhome,
Though to live in it is what I need,
But to travel in, this VW will likely do,
Who needs A/C when the windshield opens too…
So it is a ‘67 but with low, low mileage,
No great speed, no great power,
But to bring back memories of the past,
You can’t get better than this little blast…
Of course I can’t afford it,
In fact they want more than a new trailer,
But I would surely enjoy a trip cross country in her,
Yes I definitely would have fun, yes sir…;-)

About 35 years ago, friend named Will Yingling had one, same color as pic - about 6 guys went on a crabbing trip to Eastern Shore of Chesapeake Bay - mamy many beers and few crabs later, I slept on the floor of that sucker, on the trip back home. Worst traffic back-up I ever saw that day - lucky the crabs didn't eat me FIRST!
Three years ago, a young fella named Richard was a Landscape worker at Johns Hopkins University, Homewood Campus, and owned one of these. He had restored it personally, and used it every day to transport shrubs and plants and mulch and stuff - quite dependable!
