My awning did kind of bite the dust,

A piece of it has broken off, not much, just,

We had some wind throughout the night,

Must have caught it and broke it just right…

Its been on the camper since it was built,

So after 21 years I guess I have no guilt,

Its been through worse winds than that,

I guess eventually it wouldn’t be able,

Anymore with wind and such to combat…

It would usually be rolled up for the winter anyway,

So its up for now, probably for all intents to stay,

But I’ll miss it, having to walk out into the rain,

Knowing that it was about to be quite windy,

I should have rolled it up last night, if I had half a brain…
