Poem Artwork

By my bed they sit,

For late night thoughts,

But do I use it when they come,

No, I always say I will remember it come morn…

But do I remember even one line,

You know it, I don’t, so to myself I whine,

Why the hell did I not write it down,

It might have brought back my part that’s a clown…

Oh well, someday I will use it,

And make myself as a writer feel more fit,

And hope that forever and a day,

I write the right way…?

Yes, Ed, it's disheartening to think of all the sonnets and
Hamlets and funny little rhymes we've lost at bedtime when
we and our pen & pad dozed off. Suggestion: get a dictaphone.
