Traveling on the sea with me...

Poem Artwork

Sails furled,

Ropes curled,

Sailing round the world…

Engine my backup,

Company from my pup,

This is of tea my cup…

Land birds to me tell,

Can hear churches bell,

Land close, just as well…

Needful are boat stores,

Food, water & more,

Anchored off this wayward shore…

May stay here a long time,

Both days & night here,

Higher than the sublime…

Turquoise sea dreaming on gentle trade wind breeze. Everyone's wish that few can afford. My cousin once owned a 1948 mahogany Chris-Craft that was see capable. However, his dream was to own a 40 foot sailboat and “live off the land.”

Sounds like great fun, but not this time of the year, at least not in your part of the world, my blood is way too thin after 20 years down here. Nice poem though. Thanks Dick
