I am rich...

After feeling rather ill for the past couple of days, this is what poured forth from my muse today...

Poem Artwork

I don’t go to bed hungry,

I don’t sleep outside,

I have fresh water to drink,

I am clean & don’t stink…

I owe all this and more to faith,

To faith in God and belief in life,

I may have my moments,

And for them I apologize,

Though we all have our moments of strife…

I look forward to living,

Of one day I hope to be giving,

I may not have a great deal to give,

But as long as God does of me forgive,

I will continue my life & others outlive…

I was going to say you are filthy rich but you said you are clean and don't stink so I can't say that now. Patrick

I am blessed by the change in you - from 2007 when I first joined AD - and now I see you found the true meaning and purpose of your life. This poem is for all of us who are burdened with life's worries about the future but we fail to realize that each day is a gift from God - the Present.

DEAR SIR...i HAVE TO AGREE IN WHOLE WITH WHAT MY SWEET jAN HAD TO SAY. DESPITE THE HARDSHIPS THAT YOU MAY FACE...YOU HAVE SO MANY PEOPLE THAT LOVE YOU IN A WAY THAT MANY FAIL TO UNDERSTAND. wHAT JAN SAID WAS FROM HER HER TEAR FILLED EYES AND HER LOVE AND HOPE FOR YOU IS PURE.

IT IS ALL ABOUT FAITH SIR...EVEN WHEN WE CANNOT SEE IT. FOR FAITH IS THE BELIEF IN THINGS UNSEEN....BUT THEY STILL EXIST. THEY EXIST BECAUSE WE BELIEVE...OUR HOPE EXIST BECAUSE WE LIVE. LIFE ON EARTH IS TEMPORAL, BUT LOVE IS ETERNAL. THIS POEM OF YOURS IS ONE OF THE MOST HONEST AND PROFOUND PIECES THAT YOU HAVE EVER WRITTEN...JUST BELIEVE SIR...JUST BELIEVE....WITH TRUE LOVE TO YOU...ALLEN AND JAN

Ed, no matter how we feel about ourselves or how we chose to live, God doesn't make any mistakes...I know you have had and are still having hardships as we all have and do. But God gives us the wisdom and choice in how we chose to overcome our hardships. This is the best of all the poems I have ever read of yours and I see good days coming your way...

I heard this yesterday and it has played itself over and over since I heard and it has lifted my up (some) out of the depression I have been in for a long time now...(it's a yearly thing at the holidays, because my Moma made the holidays so special and this is my 3rd year without her)...but this is what I heard on a video and hopefully you will get from it and see what I see...

'This is not our life. Our life is eternal and that is God's gift to us. And this life is our gift to God'... I'm not a preacher by no means but I know where I'm going after this life is over and I do want to hear 'you have been a wonderful gift to me, my child'...

You are in our prayers and your friend Al wants so much to meet you one day...and we hope and pray that things will get better for you...just believe...
