Poem Artwork

We’ve all read them,
The kind we cannot put down,
Staying awake all night,
Some hard covered, some paperback bound…

I have been on a Koontz reading trip of late,
Into one now that scares me quite literally,
It must have something maybe to do with my personal fate,
Makes me think of life quite visually…

Fearful though I may be,
To read more & finish this tome,
Still I am easily frightened,
But in that frightening, I find myself to also be enlightened…

Excellent, Ed, the last line speaks volumes. Personally, my dreams are way too close to reality, whatever the Hell that is!

Reading good literature helps everyone, but it helps those who write even more. I can see your vocabulary increasing already with those tacked on words to make it rhyme to use a cliché word, that's so sublime.

I'm sure the Jersey Devil is hiding somewhere nearby, perhaps under your bed.

I can see why this book scares you so much, Bro:

“Ed Matlack is afraid to fall asleep. Every morning he awakes, he discovers something strange—like blood on his hands—a bizarre mystery that tortures his soul. An investigator from Baltimore, the infamous Thomas Hyland, has been hired to follow the haunted man. But only one person— his brother Pee Wee —can imagine where their journeys might end. That terrible place from which no one ever returns…”

I know what you mean! I was raised on Poe (my father enjoyed Poe) and grew up to Stephen King. Koontz is great as well!

Love ya!
