Haven't worn a watch for 30 odd years but do have a lot of clocks around. All of them claim to be synchronized with this or that atomic time-piece and none of them agree. My wife's classic 8-day clock doesn't chime any more and has to be wound every day or so. So, Ed, without a chime or tock or tick, I guess you're right ... its yours I pick.

I especially like it when you are laying in bed and
all you hear is that clock ticking away and counting
the seconds...

I don't mind the clock at all. Helps me pack many activities into a single day by changing my path by the clock--too much of any one thing is unhealthy. And, sleeping at the same time every night and eating meals at the same time every day has proven to be a very healthy practice. So the clock is my friend, because, without it, I would always be forgetting to do things while absorbed in something way too long, stressing my physical and mental well-being without knowing it. Everything is better when partaken in small bites.

You're definitely onto something. I have gradually removed all of my clocks (the ex was fanatical about timekeeping) to gain more peace of mind. Life is much more chilled without them.
