Damn, but it is REALLY cold around here...

Poem Artwork

More snow on the horizon,
The winds are roaring like a lion,
My front door does leak air like a sieve,
Used all my extra blankets & pillows,
To try to seal out the cold wind, as near it I’ve got to live…

I might as well be back in the motorhome,
It was better sealed than this apartment,
But that is not what I came to write about,
Sorry that I get off on a tangent that I feel I must tout…

So snow again, maybe more than last,
Even that, with the cold seems to have gone pretty fast,
Gotta live with it as winter is still here in full force,
Not too long ago all we had to worry about was the cool,
Now an extreme cold and snow seems to be the rule…

One more month of winter ED and before you know
spring will have sprung and you will be out by
the ocean and riding your bike and getting into shape
like you have never been before...dwell on that!

Always,

Deborah

This winter cold,
is getting old.
I'd rather be where it's warm,
if the truth be told.

It's not better here on the north coast.

Not too long ago you were bragging about all those predictions of snow that never happened.

Even here in the sunny south central of the country a front blew through this morning with a spit of rain and cold damp wind that has me bundled up against the drafts that inevitably come with the wind. All I can say is, I feel for and with you on this subject.

You have my sympathy; no winter here for two years now. I posted a photo of the front yard on Facebook this morning showing the snowdrops in full bloom. Love and peace,

Regis

Brutal back on the east coast in places, bubba. We've been watching it here. I was born in Chicago. I have creepy memories of horrid cold there. My son lives in Tennessee; 30 miles outside of Nashville. They got hammered with snow and freezing rain. Here in SoCal it's totally different. We're in a drought. For several days last week, the temperature was in the 90's with 8-9 percent humidity. Go figure. Peace.

As my teeth are chattering and I hear the ice cracking outside, I am catching your "drift".

Love ya!
