Lived in Homestead during Andrew. There was nothing left when we returned. We were told to evacuate. I helped ferry 24 F-16 fighter aircraft to Georgia and came back home after a few weeks. There was no home! It was totaled! My motto today is, "When in doubt, get the hell out!"
As Jimmy Buffett would say, Tryin' to reason with a hurricane season. Here in Ohio, we only get the storm cellar blues, and besides, I heard Trump is going to pardon Harvey.
Been involved in a few Hurricane Parties in my time. Its almost like slaming the door on reality. Eh, but when you are young, you don't sweat the small stuff. Enjoyed this, brought back some old memories.
