A circle of water to travel from the east coast west to the Mississippi then south then east to the ICW again...

Poem Artwork

To take a trip on the loop,

Not on land but on water,

All captains have a choice of boats,

Doesn’t matter from what age group.

My choice would be a Nordhavn trawler,

A 40 footer, an ocean brawler,

A long distance people hauler,

For such a trip, she couldn’t be much smaller.

My favorite part, the east coasts Intercoastal Waterway,

Or to follow the right path, the “outside” ocean,

But to anchor out, a bay has less motion,

Wish this could be me hearing and saying every morning, anchors aweigh.

But not to be; not in this lifetime, maybe the next…

Don't give up the dream,
Look forward to that day.
One can tell you're a man of the ocean,
and so I say, anchors aweigh.

Sounds like an adventure that would be "right up your alley," Ed. Love and peace to you,

Regis. 🍁

I learned quite a bit about boating within safe waters from your poem and map. Those waterways have been navigated by Europeans ever since they came • here, and by Native Americans long before that.

You are now traveling via poetry. Bon voyage.

Sounds fantastic and exciting. It's worth dreaming, even if it doesn't come true. Dreaming is the next best thing, Ed.

Literary Savannah by Aberjhani

"The statues of Savannah's Monument Square are silent. The statue of the solemn girl in Bonaventure Cemetery—made famous in John Berendt's blockbuster book, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil—can't speak. Only Savannah's literary monuments can g
