Talk Like You Know

The repetition of a generational hex

Many believe that, for us, the Big Men only want success

But in reality their true desire is to oppress

It's their own salaries and families they desire to protect

Think slavery and don't you ever forget

And still we have fools who talk like they know

College students fighting four year wars to obtain a piece of paper

But upon the completion can't find a job within their major

Economy so low, student loans are now due, afraid to face it

"I may have to stand in line and receive my EBT"

Not what I want to do but it is what I need, one day I'll be free

And yet these played out, tired folks talk like they have experience

Two laid down while one promised to always be around, he was faking

Single mother in court after the father she's chasing

Had to take a day out of work at the burger joint just to make it

Working forty hours there but after the abuse of her paycheck

She needs government assistance just to fake it, the good life

And still we face the ignorance of fools who talk like they know

Genetic dispositions render uncomfortable positions

Sickness and disease for many speaks for the condition

Forced to resign from their nine to five, couldn't handle the position

Paying debt to society with their weekly deductions

Now they have to stand in line and embrace economic reduction

And the world is filled with dumb people who talk like they know, but f*** them

See, we live in a world full of people who talk like they know

It's called ignorance they refuse to let their intelligence show

You've never been in the situation, but you think you can give advice to get out?

Have you ever gone without food?

Or were you born with a silver spoon in your mouth?

Don't talk like you know unless you've witnessed the facts

Don't walk like you know unless you've been on that path

Pride comes before your fall and honestly, I'm waiting for that

Everybody has a "different perspective" until they fall on their backs

Now live my life while you slip through the cracks...
