Passionate Pursuit

In this poem I speak of my passionate pursuit of God. If I were to seek comfort, peace, hope or anything, it would be found assuredly in His arms.

I am obsessed by him
I run after his presence
But he seems so far away
Will I ever be able to catch him
Will I ever be able to know him

I crave to stand beside him
I hunger for his arms
This passionate pursuit will never end
Can I ever get close enough to know him
Will he ever reach down and hold me

I close my eyes and see him
I stop for I know he's here
I can feel his breath on my face
He is with me and I'll never leave him
I've pursued and He is my prize
