This poem I wrote comes from my childhood living on the Elmendorf fortress in Alaska. This is my memory of the Aurora Borealis in the nights sky.
Gleaming pulsating sheets of vibrant color dancing in the sky. An eye catching awesome wonder of gods own natural light. From the ground below something I wanted to be. Something I wanted to touch besides see. If only I had wings I would join them in the sky for a brief time at least to another dark Alaskan night.
