Reclaiming My Birth

My first experience at a naturist beach. Most assuredly the first of many. The graphic I am using is THE beach referred to in the poem.

Poem Artwork

Speak to me oh Mother of mine

Whisper my name in the waves

Allow me to come home

To begin again intentionally

Your labor of love surrounds me

This journey of reclamation

Painless as I shed the last

Bastion of societal restraint

To fully surrender myself

As you guide and nurture my spirit

In the flight of the bird overhead

I am reminded that in life we

Soar above life’s trials

As the turtle crawls from land to sea

I am reminded that we are grounded to each other

In the waves that kiss my body

I am reminded that passion comes and goes

In the pregnant white clouds far off in the distance

I am reminded that even as we are filled with hope

And awe, we are to be mindful to pause and give thanks

In the sand that peppers my skin and under girds me

I am reminded that no one-grain of sand makes a beach

Just as no one human makes humanity

As I watch people in pursuit of the same re-birth

I rejoice as their childhood returns to them

Playful and free once again

Rose,
First I know your love of the ocean and also I know this was something here you had given much serious thought and I am glad you took your first step and from your write here it was everything you had hoped for as an experience of a rebirth. Excellent words to describe how you felt on this first step here.
Hope the rebirth continues to grow within you.

Yes it is indeed one of life's most liberating pastimes, to lie in the sun, as you were the day you were born, but here with plenty of sunscreen on.
Excellente, and most invigorating to the mind.
Yes Andy it does LOL.

Rose, great el-natural poem...I can definately relate to this one, although I think I would look quite obvious strutting my naked bod along the beaches in Hong Kong...I love the verse where you write

In the sand that peppers my skin and under girds me
I am reminded that no one-grain of sand makes a beach

Enjoyed...Fletcher B

Rose, this is an exceptionally well-crafted composition, which blends all the NATURAL beauty of Mother Nature and her offspring’s. Just make sure you use plenty of sun tan lotion, better yet, make sure you take someone special with you, and allow them to apply a generous amount all over… lol. It really will help keep you from frying like a lobster my friend… lol. And besides it feels so refreshing too! Thanks for sharing the vivid imagery… lol. Okay, I’ll stop. I see you blushing… lol. Outstanding work, Poet! Or would that be out side standing… lol! Peace Rose!

P.S. If you do take any pictures of the seagulls, please keep them for prosperity…lol.

Actually I disagree with Andy, hope you don't post the snaps as most I have seen on those beaches are as old as the hills, not to say that I am talking about you, but, well, uh, er, let me just end this review here before I lost what few teeth I have left...Peace thru Nudity, Ed & rufuz

Does sand ("Andy no")

So feeling liberated and carefree, yes passion on a birthday suit beach would be of concern...

fun fun fun, in the sun sun sun..
