Normally I write a silly poem in response to Robin Adams’ poems but I couldn’t this time…I’m tired so I’m serious…I thought about writing a response later but this poem happened...
and so the war goes on!

Poem Artwork

Pain has brought us closer together
We’ve been through all kinds of rough weather together

We lost her Great Grandfather, her Grandfather and her Dad
Now we’ve lost another lad

He’s just as dear to our hearts
Now we know what’s in our hearts

We can’t let it bring us down
So we sit and clown around

It’s the only way I know to heal
It’s the only way I know to help her heal

We get through the pain together
Ready for the next patch of rough weather

I know we’ll survive because we always do
But it’d be so nice not to have to

I despise the pain and the sorrow
Hoping it’ll be better tomorrow

Then I see you standing there
And I realize tomorrow is here

We help each other through the pain
By playing out in the rain

Wow! I wish it didn't take loss and pain to inspire us.

Questions, unquestioned discoveries, and answers in parable and rhyme…. This collection records a journey starting with a 1960s retrospective and the first man on the moon, moving to a new millennium welcomed in with a terrorist spin, family crises,
