It’s almost more than I can bear Seeing you go from here to there Knowing you’re sentenced to roam Until that day comes A better type of day After we’ve paved our way Our luck will find a boon Maybe one day very soon You and I both resent Our distant present Whether it be by Destiny’s hand Or the Fate’s master plan I’d rather be in your arms forever Living as a pauper Barely making ends meet Than to have you in a new place every week It’s so easy to lose track It’s never shorter going back It’s that damn rat race Taking you from place to place Vodka with twisted lime Now that is definitely wasted time There are better ways to do your grieving Each day that you’re leaving
