Think of butter, sugar, cream, cinnamon, and mixed berries
Fold them all into a mixture until your mind can see the picture
Of the vision you would write for you to read day or night
Remind yourself to create another moment that does not wait
For approval from another feed your mind and keep from trouble
Your own valued light of life that you live without the slight
Of some bag of misery waiting on its company
Find the ingredients in your soul of the sweetened story told
That shapes your days from times of enjoying life with those you love
Warm the thoughts to the temperature perfect for the posh adventure
Placed before you to create, in your own time, in your own way
Add a splash of cheery mood, your very own good natured stew
Sift the genial from the chaff, alleviate the scraps and crap
Serve the better that you find from your pantry of design
Do not fear to try some new speck of flavor that interests you
Add a sense, the fruit of life, a fresh picked apple crisped with rice
Take some nutmeg, lemon juice, toss together just to loose
The flavors of where you begun, mix them well until they crumb
In your hand like a cracker, toss them out there on the platter
Where they land upon the page in your writing for the day
Let them integrate and blend where you start and where you end
Never skip the toasting crust that includes a seasoned touch
As you go through writings kitchen, don't forget that you can mention
How you felt as you prepared your every day writing wares
That brought you through to compose a treat for others as a prose
Or an essay, or a poem, keep your self within the norm
Of the range in which you read so you can easily perceive
The recipe in which to follow all your thoughts again tomorrow
When your fingers touch the keys to relax and to ease
All the thinking that you've thought from the bottom to the top
Adding more to benefit the serving plate that befits
