Some people like the blather, some people like the purse,
still others look for the renown while some just love the work,
the thought of it, the inklings, the decisions needing made,
the gatherings, the explorations, the ideas to convey.

The who, the what, the why and where of the page charade,
the still, the quiet, the composition, the ideas that persuade
the renderings of an acceptance or must be to dispose,
secrets skulk up from creation, lives weighed in the throes.

Some are drawn to infamy in adventurous gambles,
while others find themselves swept up in how well they can ramble,
some people love the whole allure, some need the safe and sane,
writing for the love of it each letter, word and page.
