This isn't a typical poem, only thoughts of a 5 year old boy (my Sonny). His insight is humorous, if not quite intellegent. I thought I must share his ponderings with any who would listen.
I was vaccuming the floor one day with one of those attachments. Some dribbles of wood from the fireplace got stuck in the opening and I had to lift the instrument and put my hand into the suction hole to remove the debri. Suddenly, and I was annoyed because I was having a difficult time, Sonny ran screaming to me, "Mommy, Mommy" and grabbed my arm and pulled. I began to snap athim to leave me alone when my observant daughter and I suddenly noticed the horror on little Sonny's face. I dropped the vaccum and immediately hugged him. I assured my frightened child that the vaccum was not sucking Mommy away into the abyss, but that Mommy was trying to fix the vaccum instead!
We moved from rainy Oregon several months ago back to the dry desert of Nevada. I don't believe we have seen a drop of moisture in the last 4 months since we have returned. It finally rained the other day. That night as we drove around to see the Christmas lights coming up, Sonny asked me if we were back in Oregon. I asked him why he thought so. He replied, "Because it rained"
I picked up Sonny from School and during the afternoon there was our very first snow fall. It was a good thick snow but only lasted about 20 minutes then it melted away. Sonny excitedly told me of the fun he had with his fellow kindergarteners running through the white falling powder and he got real quiet. "Mommy, God listened to you, you need to thank him" and then he crossed his little hands to pray. Hmmm, I pondered, "Oh, yes, the other day I said 'Oh God, let it snow" So we thanked God for the snow, little as it was.
On the way home from kindergarten I looked at Sonny and he smiled and blew me a kiss. I blew him one back and told him he was my son forever! He then informed me that his 5 year old pal, Alex, in his class was the 'Boss of his parents'. Alex told him Sonny so himself.
At our church is a program for boys and young men called Royal Rangers. I signed Sonny up and even became a volunteer 'Commander'. Sonny got his uniform and hat. He took it to school the next day for show and tell and told the class he was part of the 'Lord and Angels' now (Royal Rangers/lord and angels)
Sonny woke up bright and early one morning and said, "you said you would feed me today". (Not that he only eats on alternate days or something).
Too be continued.....

A wicked Cajun Fairy named Robes Pierre entered the impenetrable Magical doll land of Sha Bebe. Queen Faustina, the ruler of the doll land, thought she had destroyed him, but he's back! Will the doll land survive his evil ways?
