Who decided to call us the hag- the over the hill crone
Men get distinguished, then we’re the old bags
Toys left to be alone, good-bye security and home
Why do the things that bring life to this earth?
Later turn on us- leaving our insides empty and hollow
Setting the body in the mud- left for the Raven to swallow
Will we be rewarded for what we went through?
As the man made streets rape, beat and purge
Leaving the open hearts of the child to go unheard
Silently wishing to talk too- our heavenly mother
Wanting to know why the rewards are for the brothers
Leaving alone many old angry mothers
Beaten, disrobed, and disturbed old mothers

You take the most awesome pictures, could you find your way out of the woods after you click this one? I bet you have a flashlight? I'm like the mad Robert poet, enjoy your work.
I found your poem very thought provoking and, as always, great. Your photos are, as usual, wonderful. I don't think I have said hi to you since we met at the Vines, although I have read your work several times here at AuthorsDen. :)
